JIGYASA
JIGYASA is one of the major initiatives taken up by CSIR at national level for further widening and deepening its scientific social responsibility. It is a social scientist connect programme, having objective of extending the classroom learning and focusing on a well planned research laboratory based learning. Student Residential Programmes, Scientist as teachers and teacher as Scientists, lab specific activities/on site experiment, visit of scientists to school/outreach programmes, science & math clubs, project of NCSC( NATIONAL CHILDREN’S SCIENCE CONGRESS) and ATAL tinkering laboratories are some of the activities included under the programme.
